Over the years the SOE has developed into a well-known and valuable information center in the fields of orthomolecular nutrition and medicine. Information is provided among other things by means of reports and publications at regular intervals.
SOE research
In orthomolecular medicine nutrients, normally resident in our food, are applied in order to restore pathological processes. By using these natural substances, orthomolecular medicine contrasts with other disciplines of medical science, where molecules developed in the laboratory are used, which, because of their alien nature, often cause unpleasant or even serious side effects.
The SOE research section of this website provides scientific evidence for the use of orthoolecular medicine in the prevention and treatment of disease in man. The information in this section is structured in 3 parts:
- Pathology: explanation about the nature of the disease
- Diagnosis: explanation about how this disease can be diagnosed
- Treatment: provides information which nutrients can be used to treat or to ameliorate this disease
